Quality, site income, dimensional inspection and production control

Beyond non-destructive testing, we make sure components arrive, are assembled and are produced as specified, from site income inspection to metallographic analysis.

Inspector performing site income inspection of a wind blade

Quality failures found late are expensive: rework, assembly delays and operational risk. Our team acts as an extension of the customer’s quality control, checking components on arrival, during assembly and throughout production.

For critical castings such as hubs and mainframes, we perform metallographic analysis with sample drilling and removal, complementing NDT with an assessment of the material microstructure.

Scope

  • Site income and assembly inspection
  • Machining dimensional inspection
  • Visual inspection of machined parts
  • Hub and mainframe metallographic analysis (sample drilling/removal and analysis)
  • Planning and production control (PPC)

Why choose GV NDT

Less rework

Non-conformities found before assembly and operation.

Complete view

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

What is site income inspection?

It is the inspection of components when they arrive at the factory, port or wind farm, to confirm there was no transport damage and that the item meets the specification before assembly.

What is hub and mainframe metallographic analysis for?

Metallography evaluates the microstructure of the cast material from drilled samples, helping to confirm the quality of the casting process and to investigate the causes of failures.
